Accessibility statement
For Taxbix Books, the online accounting application at taxbix.com/accounting. Taxbix is a trading name of Gain Financial Solutions Ltd.
We want as many people as possible to be able to use Taxbix Books. This statement explains how accessible the application is, where it falls short, and how to contact us if you have a problem.
Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA. Accessibility is considered as part of how we design and build the app, not added afterwards.
How accessible the app is
Taxbix Books has been built with accessibility in mind. In particular:
- A "skip to content" link and clear page landmarks (header, navigation, main content).
- Full keyboard operation — you can reach and use every control without a mouse, and a visible focus outline shows where you are.
- ARIA attributes on interactive components (current page, expanded/collapsed menus, dialogs) so screen readers announce them correctly.
- A responsive layout that works on phones, tablets and desktops, and reflows without loss of content when zoomed.
- Respect for the "reduce motion" setting — non-essential animation is switched off when your device requests it.
- The interface is available in 11 languages, with the page language set correctly for assistive technology.
- Text and interface colours are chosen to keep contrast readable.
Known limitations
We are aware of the following areas that may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We are working to address them:
- Some data-heavy tables (bank transactions, reports) can be wide and may require horizontal scrolling on small screens.
- Payment card entry is provided by Stripe within a secure embedded frame; its accessibility is controlled by Stripe.
- Documents you upload (for example scanned PDF receipts and statements) may not themselves be accessible, as they come from third parties.
- A small number of complex interactions are still being reviewed against every AA success criterion.

Enforcement

How we test
Taxbix Books is tested using a combination of automated checks and manual keyboard and screen-reader testing across common browsers on desktop and mobile. Accessibility is re-checked whenever we make significant changes to the app.
